Let’s face it: using a drone to take pictures is not the easiest thing in the world … already maneuvering a drone is not easy, let alone have the readiness and dexterity to press a button to capture an object from above while you have the hands busy driving our device, trying at the same time to be photogenic.
The sale of drones is growing dramatically and prices are always cheaper for all budgets, this has enabled aspiring photographers and video operators to obtain aerial photographs and video footage previously unreachable without the use of a helicopter.
The aerial photographs obtained with a drone are spectacular because they offer us a completely different vision from what we are used to seeing from the ground.
The photography made with drones is a completely new and unexplored world that will give great satisfaction to the photographers of tomorrow, giving them the opportunity to show the world images never seen before.
Once you’ve purchased your drone it’s time to fly it to take spectacular aerial photographs; even in this case the best time to get great shots is the golden hour, or the time that comes after dawn or what comes before sunset: choose a nice place in the middle of the countryside, take your drone and start shooting.
If you shoot during a sunny day you will have the only drawback not to see the live-view on your smartphone or tablet: the drones are piloted by APP installed on your phones and will give you the actual view of the drone as if you were on so if there is too much sun you will not be able to see well what the drone is framing.
Other advice, do not fly your drone during a day with strong wind for 2 very specific reasons: the first reason is that, although the drone has sensors that stabilize it, the strong wind will make it unstable and your aerial photographs will be all decidedly, the second reason (and also the most important) concerns safety as the wind could make your drone unstable and crash it to the ground.
In general, take the time to learn how to pilot your drone and use the camera well. My purchase before the summer was the quadricopter drone with HD camera One Key Return Selfie, with 360° rotation function and 6-axis flight control system.
Without too many technical demands, I need more than anything else to practice as a pilot 🙂
