In the last month I tested the last born of Fitbit: the Versa smartwatch, Ionic’s successor and I would say that the best way to define it is “Life Coach”.
Let’s start by saying that Versa is one of the lightest and thinnest smartwatches on the market: only 38 grams per 11 mm thick.
As soon as I wore it I was struck by the refined look with the screen with rounded corners and the ability to quickly change the strap by being able to choose between lots of variables, silicone, leather or metal to adapt to every occasion.
Versa in fact makes us exit the idea of the classic smartwatch intended as a tool to monitor sports performance, however present, to become a real Life Coach to monitor and facilitate our overall well-being.
Some examples?
Beside the monitoring of the heartbeat, the personalized exercises of Fitbit Coach and the possibility of swimming training thanks to the resistance to water up to 50 meters there are wellness-related features such as sleep monitoring or the possibility for women to keep under control your menstrual cycle.
Versa, also, spurs you to make at least 250 steps per hour, not many but perhaps useful to encourage a more active lifestyle. Our competitive spirit will be satisfied by the chance to challenge friends and family members thanks to the integrated system in the mobile app.
During the last month I had the chance to try it at different times: during an intensive workout at the park and a run on the paths of Formentera or in moments of relaxation in which I stopped simply to observe nature.
In general it is always on my wrist during the day, thanks to the battery that guarantees four days of autonomy, during which I could test the memory of 2.5 giga to load music thanks to the partnership with Deezer and the free use of premium version for 3 months, or the ability to leave the wallet at home by paying via contactless with Fitbit Pay.
Don’t you think it’s amazing?
