Here comes the spring and the chance to run in the open air! In the coming months there will be many sporting events, both amateur and non, organized in different cities but as every year my season officially begins with Stramilano!
Being one of the first races I participate after winter, I never have high expectations in terms of performance, while it’s an excellent opportunity to test what then will be the garments and accessories that will accompany me then in my spring training.
In addition to Cébé sunglasses and Plantronics earphones, about which I will talk you soon, I tested some pieces of the Diadora running collection for spring summer 2018 along with the Mythos Blushield Hip 3 running shoes.
Starting from the shoes, the Hip 3 are the new version of the Mythos Blushield I have already spoken, with a new upper made of air mesh iridescent effect, while the reinforcements in Suprell-Tech on the upper area give greater comfort and protection during the running. Even though they were new, they did not create any problem for me during the 10 km of the run and indeed they guaranteed a dynamic and constant pace.
Moving on to the apparel, I chose ultra-light stretch microfibre shorts with integrated polyester warmers. Even in this, small details make the difference: the elastic belt with asymmetric cut allows a perfect fit, the reflective prints are perfect to be visible even at night and the back pocket in waterproof fabric is always useful.
The Bright t-shirt in ultra light polyester is really comfortable in the movements, even if in this case I worn it at the end, it has inserts in elasticized mesh that guarantee breathability and also in this case the reflective print allows maximum visibility even at night.
Always at the end of the running, the wind-resistant Bright jacket with hood and elbow-length sleeves made from lightweight breathable nylon was very useful. The internal aluminum foil print ensures an isothermal effect for maintaining ideal body temperature while the double-layered nylon back insert with 3D multicolor printing ensures maximum visibility even during nighttime workouts … did you know that I often train at night and therefore being visible it is very important for me? 🙂
In addition to the functional aspect, what I love about the new Diadora running collection is the special attention to details related to fit and comfort but without forgetting the style that, let’s face it, is important for everyone!
