No more just pedal assisted bikes: Uber journey in green mobility continues with scooters.
The Californian company has launched in Santa Monica a fleet of 250 electric scooters that can be identified, booked and shared using the Jump app, fully integrated also in Uber’s.
The cost of the service will be 1 dollar for the first 5 minutes of use with an addition of 0.15 cents for each subsequent minute. The scooters, once the rental is over, can be left anywhere in the city or at one of the charging stations that Uber / Jump is progressively installing in the urban areas in which it is present.
If the Santa Monica experiment proves to be a success, Uber could extend the service to other cities in the United States and Europe.
