Miami is often associated with the wild and transgressive evenings that characterize the luxurious and chaotic city. If on the one hand I can only agree, I would say that the most famous city of Forida is much more than this: the mundane fun is contrasted by long beaches, Art Decò buildings with delicate pastel colors, beautiful murals and one of the the most varied linguistic and cultural panoramas you can find in the United States.

Unfortunately, I was only able to dedicate two days of my Florida vacation to the discovery of the city, so I want to advise you what in my opinion you cannot miss in the city.

Ocean Drive e SoBe

Recovering from the jet leg has a completely different flavor with a barefoot walk on the very long beach that runs alongside Ocean Drive, fascinating even if the day is not particularly sunny.
Buy something for breakfast in one of the many bars you will find on Ocean Drive and enjoy it directly on the sand admiring the ocean in the early morning.

Art Decò District

A few steps from the beach you will find the wonderful Art Decò District, characterized by pastel colored buildings; it is a short walk and not at all demanding, the buildings can be admired from the street and it is a way to get to know the city by starting to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of Florida.

Lincoln Road

The pedestrian street of Lincoln Road is perhaps one of the most touristic areas of the city but it is still pleasant to walk around to discover clubs and shops of any kind interspersed with fountains and gardens. In the evening I recommend you to dine at Espagnola Way: a small street paved in the Spanish paseo style.

Wynewood Walls

I was really fascinated by this area of the city, a former infamous industrial area transformed into a district of art, fashion and design.
At the center of the neighborhood is Wynewood Walls Garden, which contains the most famous and acclaimed works, but the real fun is getting lost in the side streets and looking, immortalizing or witnessing the creation of murals equally fascinating compared to the most famous.

Welcome to Miami!
