Friends who are passionate about online shopping know it well: prices on Amazon can also vary greatly based on the available pieces, the period, the demand or the strategies of the sellers themselves.

If for some products the fluctuations can be minimal and not at all significant, in other cases the rebates can be very convenient even outside of the most famous commercial initiatives such as Black Friday or Prime Day.

How to check the price of our favorite items so you can buy them at the most favorable time? There are a number of websites, apps and extensions for the browser that can do for us.

Deepa and CamelCamelCamel

The essential services are Keepa and CamelCamelCamel. To use both services, you need to create an account and log in with your credentials or log in using the social users, once inside you can set the products and the thresholds of interest and use a series of tools such as the trend graph historical, lowering and availability alerts and price comparison even on Amazon international versions.

Both Deepa and CamelCamelCamel have their own extensions for Chrome, Firefox, (Keepa also for Edge and Opera) to integrate the functionality within the browser and on CamelCamelCamel you can also access a list of products that have recently suffered a sensible price reduction, to understand if among those there is something that could interest us.

Amazon’s proposals

Amazon itself helps us in some way to track products, for example with lists or with official extensions like Amazon Assistant for Chrome and Firefox.
Amazon Assistant is the official extension, installs a minisite on the browser and every time we look for an online product we propose it on the platform through a bar that appears at the top of the screen.
Honey is instead an extension for codes and coupons that helps us to save money by automatically applying codes and discount coupons, but also indicates the best times to finalize a purchase by showing the price variation and alerting the user when the products are discounted.

The app

Finally, there are some applications, for iOS and Android, that do more or less the same thing: they monitor prices and send notifications with respect to the budget. They are for example PriceRadar (iOS), Prices under control (Android) or Price Tracker (both platforms, in this last case you can import your wish lists).

Enjoy your shopping!
