Running in Venice is a unique experience but not simple due to the many stairs and bridges that make the route more tiring than a linear itinerary. On the other hand, you will find yourself surrounded by one of the most beautiful scenery in the world, especially if you choose to work out early in the morning or at sunset.
Today I therefore want to suggest you some running itineraries that you can follow to admire the beauty of the lagoon.

Sestiere di Castello – 3 km

It starts from Via Garibaldi, following it up to the Sant’Isepo foundation. After the first bridge, continue along Paludo Sant’Antonio, crossing the bridge of Rio dei Giardini and reaching the Island of Sant’Elena. We close the circle continuing on Viale IV Novembre, Viale Vittorio Veneto, Riva dei Partigiani and Riva dei Martiri.

Sestiere di Dorsoduro – 2,5 km

It starts from the Accademia Bridge, in particular from the Campo della Carità. Then Rio Terà Foscarini, Fondamenta delle Zattere, Calle del Vento, San Basilio, the narrow Calle della Chiesa and Campo Ognissanti. Continuing along the Fondamenta as far as Campo San Trovaso, you then return to Campo della Carità along Calle del Pistor and Rio Terà della Carità.

Giudecca – 3 km

One of the most suggestive itineraries, with a magnificent view: go down to the Zitelle vaporetto stop and skirt the whole Giudecca canal up to the Mulino Stucky. At the bottom, go back up to Zitelle.

Riva degli Schiavoni – 1 km

This route is about a kilometer long, but it can be connected to others and is certainly the most spectacular: it starts from Piazza San Marco and reaches the Fondamenta dell’Arsenale.
To lengthen the itinerary you can connect it to the circuit of the Pineta di Sant ‘Elena along Riva San Biasio, Riva dei Sette Martiri, along the Biennale gardens and along Riva dei Partigiani and Viale Vittorio Veneto.

Keep running!
