I admit, I’m not a lover of swimming in general and in particular of treading pools in the pool. As you know for some weeks a pain in the knee does not allow me to travel long distances, therefore to maintain my training and breath I am alternating small distances below 10 km to understand water training, which tones up without impacting on the joints.
This is why I discovered the latest trend in pool training: pool running, which requires no special swimming skills as it can be practiced at heights lower than one meter.
Let’s talk about the advantages:
- Tones up your muscles and makes you lose weight. The movement of the water during the run in the water strengthens the work of the main muscle groups, even the deepest ones, both in the upper part of the body, such as the arms if the water level is high enough, and in the low part, in particularly those of legs and buttocks.
- Improves strenght. Running in the pool promotes the improvement of cardio-circulatory resistance.
- Combats cellulite. Running in water improves microcirculation and counteracts the stagnation of liquids in the tissues.
- Improves circulation. During the run in the water the hydrostatic pressure exerted on the lower limbs which increases with increasing depth together with the reduction of the force of gravity determines a different distribution of the blood in the circulatory system.
- It is good for the mood. Pool running relieves stress and helps relieve the tensions accumulated during the day.
Aren’t you curious to try it?
