Today I come back to talk with you about furniture and in particular about a startup that I had the pleasure of meeting at the last Milan Design Week: Playwood.
As you know I like DIY home decorations, but it is mainly to customize standard furniture to better meet my style. Playwood allows you to build on your own furniture in a rather simple way and with the ‘help of a pc and an allen screw.
Here’s how it works: Playwood offers a rich library of possible creations for inspiration, and instructions for making them available, including the dimensions of the wooden panels and the number of assembly modules required.
In this way we can go to our trusted carpenter with the cutting specifications by choosing the type of wood to be used and once at home assembling the piece of furniture following the assembly instructions and using the Playwood modules without the need for large tools: just an allen screw!
