Today, let’s talk about travels and ideas from which you can organize your next vacation and weekend.
Paris, despite having visited it many times, continues to surprise me with its eclecticness, glamor and energy.
Famous mainly for the most fashionable and chic aspect, today I want to talk about one side of the city unknown to many and that could affect all enthusiasts nerd… chic 🙂
Geek destinations in Paris
Let’s start with Parco della Villette, in the eastern part of the city, designed by the famous Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi and inaugurated in 1991. The park is an important architectural and cultural center as it houses concerts and museums including Cité des Sciences et de l’Industries, the largest science museum in Europe.
Don’t forget that Paris can be a paradise for comic fans especially during Paris Manga, which takes place every year in February and September: for a whole weekend the exhibition hall at Porte de Versailles is invaded by a colorful and festive crowd, even with international guests, often dressed as their favorite characters.
In addition to international events, in Paris you can always walk through the streets devoted entirely to speech bubbles and video games:
- Lulu Berlu, to meet the heroes of our childhood including Zodiac Knights and Dragon Ball Z
- Album, a paradise for adults and children where you will find cartoons and gadgets of Marvel, DC and TBP Vertigo characters
- Manga Story, in Boulevard Voltaire, for the nostalgics of vintage video games
With the #feelparisregion campaign, discovering all this and more is more convenient: airplanes, trains and travel packages at attractive rates to discover the Ville Lumière.
