Especially when traveling, it often happens to have the opportunity to train in different contexts, in my case running on the road or on dirt roads, and it is therefore very important to have versatile footwear that can adapt to different situations.

The new HOKA Challenger 7 shoe is the perfect marriage of road performance and versatile traction for off-road terrain with little difficulty thanks to the combination of the mesh upper with a new soft foam, increasing the height of the sole in order to strengthen the comfort and the feeling of softness. In addition, a patented rubber has been added to the lower unit, which together with a revised sole design offers the best wearing experience on all types of terrain.

Taking inspiration from gravel tyres, the outsole of the Challenger 7 features smaller lugs with less space between them in the central area and larger, more aggressive 4mm lugs in the perimeter area, designed to improve traction on uneven terrain.

Another aspect optimized in the new version is the greater lightness that distinguishes the Challenger 7, combined with the increase in the height of the sole and the new materials on the upper, midsole and outsole contribute to a significant increase in overall comfort.

Confirming Hoka’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact, this model is also made with recycled materials for the upper and laces.
