I had anticipated it on Instagram in recent days: the #MyGeekFitness family widened with the new Fitbit Ionic, smartwatch presented at IFA 2017 and launched on the market in these days.
I had the opportunity to preview it for you and it is the most advanced product launched by Fitbit offering you a personalized and enhanced health and fitness experience thanks to the new SpO2 sensor.
Fitbit Ionic is also resistant to up to 50 m deep in water and is integrated with contactless payments, music, notifications and many applications to customize the device.
Summing up the main features of Fitbit Ionic we can highlight:
- Fitbit Coach, to access the device for dynamic training programs that adapt to our feedbacks or to the Audio Coaching sessions for racing and walking, available since 2018
- Running detection, enhanced functionality compared to previous versions
- Swimming Mode, which allows us to monitor our water performance thanks to the resistance to 50 mt of depth and the counting of the tanks
- PurePulse, for even more accurate heart rate monitoring
- SPO2 sensor, to estimate blood oxygen levels and other parameters such as nighttime apnea, this feature will be avaliable in the next few months
- Music function, with more than 300 songs that can be stored in the device
- Fitbit Pay, to pay directly from the device in contactless mode
- Enhanced battery, with up to 4 days of autonomy
Stay tuned!
