Copenhagen is the capital and largest urban center of Denmark. Young and dynamic, cosmopolitan and trendy, full of designer boutiques, street artists and international architects who leave their mark in the city: the American designer Daniel Liebeskind designed the Dansk Jødisk Museum (The Jewish Museum) while Norman Foster is the creator of the new elephant house at the Copenhagen Zoo. Frenchman Jean Nouvel designed the concert hall of the Danish national radio station DR, the Radio Concert Hall, while the Iraqi Zaha Hadid
created the new area of the Ordupgaard art museum.

Copenhagen has many architectural attractions open to the public.
Some examples?

The French area of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek created by Henning Larsen, a masterpiece of light and space, and the monumental extension in glass and concrete designed by Anna Maria Indro for the art museum Statens Museum for Kunst, which alone is worth the cost of ticket.

Another architectural highlight of the city is the Royal Library designed by the Danish studio Schmidt, Hammer and Lassen, which flows into the port area with a constant reflection on the water and has been dubbed “the black diamond”.

Copenhagen is not just the little mermaid 🙂
