Spring in Milan can’t begin without Stramilano! For those who don’t know it, it’s the marathon that each year welcomes thousands of people through the streets of the city.

Unmissable event for me, this year I decided to test during the Stramilano some mobile apps for running.

RunKeeper.It is one of the most downloaded app, millions of runners use it not only for running but also for walking or a biking. I like it because it manages my playlist for running in time to music. It allows me also to take pictures while I run and share them on social.

Runtastic. I would call it a motivational app, perfect if you are not very consistent, thanks to the function that allows you to share your location and receive messages of encouragement.

Zombies, run! Basically we are the protagonists of the story written by Naomi Alderman: we survived an apocalypse and we must return to base without making us reach by zombies… the fitness side of The Walking Dead!

My ace in the sleeve, however, isn’t tech: it’s a banana. A study conducted by the North Carolina Research Campus, by scientists at the Dole Nutrition Institute and by Appalachian State University, in fact, found that eating a banana during sport improves performance and speeds up post workout recovery.
