The ‘Big D’ is a city that never stops growing: famous for its acumen, the Dallas Cowboys football team, its cheerleaders and a TV series, Dallas, which has made the history of the myth American on the small screen.

Despite the first impression blatantly consumerist, Dallas surprises its visitors: a beautiful old, typical neighborhoods, green parks and interesting museums with new urban and architectural projects home to many architectural works and masterpieces of architects rewarded internationally.

Few people know that Dallas can also be an interesting destination for fans geek, that’s why I prepared this small selection for you: geek destinations to do in Dallas.

  • Fan Expo Dallas, March 31-April 2: Dallas Fan Expo is the largest event dedicated to comics, science fiction and horror souls among the largest in the world, but you can continue the search in one of the comic book specialty stores in town: Titan Comics, Keith’s Books and Comics o Zeus Comics.
  • Perot Museum of Nature and Science: how to inspire minds through nature and science. A special event to be considered is the Social Science, for discovering the Perot Museum during an “after hours” event dedicated to adults during which you will be able to do innovative experiments, current research, cocktails, shows and debates. An example? On April 28th the event will focus on building molecular models and participate in explosive experiments, meeting local chemical and playing with chemicals.
  • National Museum of Videogames: designed to preserve the history of the game industry, the museum not only stores physical artifacts, but collects information and the stories behind their creation. The National Museum of Videogames will offer seminars and workshops that will be able to show visitors the way to a rewarding career in the game industry.
